PBH breaks new ground: Healthcare expansion reaches Hartbeespoort

Hartbeespoort, South Africa – Phelang Bonolo Healthcare (PBH) is proud to announce the official Sod Turning Ceremony for its upcoming state-of-the-art private hospital in Hartbeespoort, taking place on Wednesday, 11 June 2025. Themed “From Dream to Destination – A New Horizon for Healthcare in Harties,” the event marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering accessible, premium healthcare to communities across South Africa.

This monumental step forward will be celebrated at the future site of PBH Hartbeespoort from 11:00 to 15:00, with a gathering of esteemed guests including provincial and municipal leaders, healthcare professionals, private investors, and members of the media.

PBH Founder and CEO Dr. Mabitje Jacky Rampedi, a trailblazing medical doctor turned entrepreneur, will lead the proceedings alongside, Madibeng Executive Mayor Cllr. Douglas Maimane, and ENT Surgeon Prof. Mashudu Tshifularo.

The new hospital is expected to transform the local healthcare landscape, offering specialist services, job creation opportunities, and improved health access in a region where quality healthcare remains a pressing need. The symbolic elements of the event — including a legacy tree planting and the laying of personalised engraved stones — reflect PBH’s long-term investment and emotional connection to the Hartbeespoort community.
Dr. Rampedi’s vision of people-centred care extends beyond hospital walls. As a respected voice in both medicine and entrepreneurship, his journey from township doctor in Soshanguve to founder of a private hospital group stands as a testament to Black excellence, community upliftment, and leadership driven by purpose.

The event will be sealed with a celebratory toast to commemorate the beginning of a new era in regional healthcare.
